Can any one explain me that, how people deduce the structural magic numbers for FCC Nanoparticle and HCP Nanoparticle. If possible please tell me how can we arrive at some mathematical expressions which will deliver the total number of atoms in X sided Polyhedron (X refers any numbers, layers)and also the total number of surface atoms.
